Democratic Response
Everyone knew going in that this would be a hard sell. New Jersey voters are reacting as expected. However, it’s like selling a car. Until the salesman is prepared to give a little—such as price adjustments, rebates, and to throw in some extras—there is no deal.
So the Governor has to be prepared to negotiate in order to close the deal with New Jersey voters. He’ll rework and re-structure the plan or it will remain on life support.
