No surprise that Tom Kean wins hands down as New
Jersey's most popular Governor. He’s fresh off a stint in the national
limelight as chair of the 9-11 Commission for which he performed quite
admirably, in spite of the White House I might add. He made New
Jerseyans proud. The poll also seems to show that we have short
memories. Will our memories last long enough to help a certain
Senator from Union County re-remind New Jerseyans what it means to be
a "Tom Kean" Republican?
As for the most unpopular, Christie Whitman has got to be wondering
what in the world she did to rank even with Jim McGreevey as the worst
Governor. At least Jim Florio knows what he did to earn his score.
As for why Jim McGreevey scored so well with non-white voters.... that
doesn't say much for the others does it?
