“Senator Carper is poised to win re-election by a 2-1 margin against a little known Republican saddled with the political baggage of an unpopular President.  President Bush's misinformation as well as his missteps and mistakes in the handling of Iraq have created a political conundrum for everyone involved.  Nevertheless, Tom Carper remains the man to beat in this race.”
