Response by Rick Thigpen

Despite their strong disenchantment with Washington Republicans, so far Delaware voters are sticking with Mike Castle for Congress over his Democratic challenger Dennis Spivak.  Castle's support has withstood Iraq and the public's strong opinion that the Bush administration is moving our country in the wrong direction.  Clearly, Castle's carefully constructed independent Republican image is insulating him from Delaware's desire for relief from his party's policies in Washington.
