Democratic Response

Governor Corzine's ratings across parties are strong, especially among Republican voters with 38 percent approving of his performance. If this trend continues, it might prove to be very interesting for Republicans in the fall midterms.

Voters still believe the state is going in the wrong direction but do not blame the Wall Street Reformer. This may put some life back into his ability to convince voters that asset monetization, such as highway and lottery leases, can be a means to get the state going in the right direction.
