Senator Paul Sarlo is clearly poised to capture the 36^th District Senate contest.  Running against a strong and well seasoned opponent, Sarlo has succeeded in building strong enough support with the voters to survive this stiff challenge.  Combined with the strong organizational support he enjoys in Bergen County and in Passaic County, he looks to be a formidable candidate.

Keeping the 36^th District Senate seat in Democratic hands in a difficult political year is earning Paul consideration as MVP on the Democratic side.  If Senator Sarlo produces a strong turnout among Democratic voters and continues his solid performance with Independents, he’ll be in business on election day.  His destiny appears to now be in his own hands.
