Response by Rick Thigpen

Ultimately, Senator Torricelli was unable to escape the ethics issue. Nevertheless, Doug Forrester has proven himself incapable of addressing the voters concerns beyond the question of Bob Torricelli's ethics. This scenario has produced a campaign, to this point, devoid of meaningful dialogue on important issues, making the voters of New Jersey the second biggest loser in this regrettable Torricelli saga. What will happen when the voters finally take a serious look at Doug Forrester and what he stands for? How will Doug Forrester reconcile his self proclaimed moderate views with the right wing agenda that he will help to empower in Washington and will anyone really care? Stay tuned.
