President Bush's popularity clearly reflects America's support for its Commander-in-Chief, in the wake of military victory in Iraq. The question remains, can the popular Commander-in-Chief provide enough political cover for the conservative President that has presided over a faltering national economy and record budget deficits, while granting huge tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans? So long as military actions and national security threats continue to dominate the public agenda, the President will be in the driver's seat. Stay tuned.
