Clearly, Senator Torricelli continues to be significantly handicapped by the heavily publicized allegations of unethical behavior and by the actions of the Senate Ethics Committee. Nevertheless the voters continue to support his positions on the issues and they still recognize his ability to represent New Jersey well in Washington. The question is, even with the release of the Chang memo, has Senator Torricelli so upset the voters that they are now willing to overlook their own interests and vote for Forrester and in the process advance a conservative Republican national agenda that they so resoundingly rejected in the last Presidential election? see also: |
