Republican Response

It's now official; it's time for the Corzine campaign to panic.  In what was seen as a race for Jon Corzine to lose, this poll shows he's losing it.  While he still wins the ballot test, most other indicators are working against him.

The right track-wrong track number is a killer.  As the candidate of the party in power, Corzine is the most likely target of unhappy voters.  This survey shows that those who believe the state is off on the wrong track are breaking overwhelmingly for Forrester.

Most importantly, Forrester has bolted ahead on the property tax issue while Corzine has dropped dramatically.  This suggests that Forrester's paid media has had significant impact.  Forrester can win only if he wins this issue.

If you're gong to win the World Series, your team must peak at the right time.  If you're going to win a competitive election, you build momentum in October and peak on Election Day.  Doug Forrester is building momentum while Jon Corzine is sliding.
