Response to Gubernatorial Poll by Rick Thigpen

“There appears little doubt that Jim McGreevey will be New Jersey’s first elected Governor of the 21st century. It seems that all Bret Schundler can hope for is to avoid being “Courterized” in a landslide defeat that would end his political career. The only question that remains in doubt is whether the Democrats can translate victory at the top of the ticket into control of one or both houses of the legislature. If the Democratic Party’s unprecedented get-out-the-vote efforts bear fruit on election day, a decade of Republican monopoly in Trenton will finally come to an end.”
