Likely Republican Primary Voters

Democratic Analysis:

Not surprisingly the Republican establishment's choice, Bob Franks already enjoys a healthy lead over Mayor Brett Schundler among likely Republican primary voters. Blessed with extra matching funds and three extra weeks to campaign, courtesy of the Republican legislative majority, Franks appears to have little trouble getting the Republican faithful to fall in line. In a primary universe where over half are likely to be seniors, Schundler's innovation and new ideas seem to carry very little weight.
